HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted this Tuesday in Havana the solidarity work carried out by the Medical Brigade of the island in a field hospital sent to Mozambique, where they attended 4000 patients in the first week.
Through a message on Twitter, the chief of the Cuban diplomacy described as meritorious the work of the Cuban collaborators of the health that honor and exalt Cuba in that African nation.
A medical brigade from the Caribbean nation traveled to Mozambique since the end of March, to help to mitigate the impact of Cyclone Idai, which left nearly 500 deceased, thousands of homeless people and substantial material damage.
The group of 40 doctors includes surgeons, anesthesiologists and other specialists, who joined the island’s collaborators serving in Mozambique.
