SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico.- According to the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation, the upcoming Caribbean Series will be held in Mexican land to replace Venezuela, which had been selected months ago to organize the event.

In an assembly held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the president of the Mexican Pacific League, Omar Canizales, expressed his joy at the appointment of his country as host of the games.

Canizales said, We are very pleased with the trust of the Confederation, thanks to the good experiences in the editions of the tournament made earlier in our country. It is a recognition to the good work we have done.

In this regard, he said he trusts that the Mexican city chosen to organize the 2018 Caribbean Series will continue to meet the high expectations of the guests.
