May 1st parade in Havana.

HAVANA, Cuba. – “They are times of being and, above all, of acting, and the first of May will be another proof of the commitment of the Cuban youth,” Raul Alejandro Palmero, president of the University Student Federation (FEU) said.

Student of the Faculty of Law at the University of Havana and member of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba, Palmero predicted a massive and forceful participation of the new generations in the celebration.

He assured that “in every square, from beginning to end in each parade, we the students and young Cubans will be present”, and referred in a very special way to the parade in the Jose Marti Revolution Square in Havana next Tuesday.

“Opening the parade represents a high honor, which more than once has been given to us, but closing it implies, in addition, a huge responsibility, that the thousands of young people grouped in that final block will know to meet,” Palmero highlighted.
