HAVANA, Cuba. – The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel, attended this Monday night a concert of D ‘ Cuba Group and Los Van Van orchestra, organized at the University of Havana on the occasion of the University Festival of Book and Literature.

In his Twitter account, the President wrote: We are in the concert of the University Festival of Book and Literature, in the historic stairway of the University of Havana.

The celebration presents several proposals for young people of higher education, such as sale and presentation of books, lectures and performances of poetry and trova.

The University Festival of Book and Literature, whose inauguration was attended by Diaz-Canel, is held every November since more than ten years, organized by the University Student Federation to encourage reading as a way of healthy and cultured recreation.
