MEXICO CITY, Mexico. – Cuba and Mexico begin some meetings in Mexican land at the level of Chancery to address substantive issues on bilateral relations and others of regional interest, Cuban Vice-Chancellor Rogelio Sierra said.

These are two important meetings that will mark the linkages between both countries; that of the migratory working group and the political consultation mechanism, the latter with more than two decades of implementation, Sierra explained.

The interlocutor of the Cuban diplomat will be Ambassador Luis Alfonso del Alba, and both of them will head the delegations of their respective countries in the meetings fixed for May 3 and 4 at the headquarters of the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs.

Sierra added that in the migratory issue they will review the flow of citizens, as well as the behavior of the memorandum of understanding on the subject, including the possibility of establishing new commitments.
