Havana, Cuba.- The International Exhibition for restaurants, hotels and tourist services, HostelCuba 2019, will be held in this capital between May 28 and 30, promoters announced.

In its third edition, the organizers of the event, Fira Barcelona International and the PALCO Business Group, will receive at the Pabexpo fairground of this capital, the buyers and most important actors of the Horeca sector, acronym for Hotel, Restaurants and Cafés.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of the island, the event is the leading sectorial and professional fair in Cuba of the aforementioned sector and, according to its organizers, it will be attended by more than four thousand visitors and 300 exhibitors from some thirty countries.

Hostelcuba is the only professional and sectorial fair in Cuba that can make viable multiple business opportunities from the acquisition of new technologies that contribute to savings, to the satisfaction of our customers and to compliance with international standards, revealed the General Director of Operations and Quality of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba, María del Pilar Macías.

Within the foreign presence, the participation of Spain, Italy and Portugal by the European side stands out, while entrepreneurs from Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Argentina will attend from Latin America.

As part of its program of activities is, among others, the presentation of the portfolio of opportunities for Sectoral Foreign Investment.

During the past year, four million 732 thousand visitors arrived in Cuba, while for this year it is expected to receive five million 100 thousand foreign tourists.

Likewise, at the end of the first four-month period, one million 928 thousand 478 travelers arrived for a cumulative seven percent increase and, during the first week of May, two million vacationers were notified, 12 days earlier, compared to the 2018 statistics.
