Beijing, China.- Foreign Minister Wang Yi ratified on Wednesday that China will always keep its invariable support for Cuba”s struggle against foreign interference and the economic, financial and commercial blockade by the United States.

During talks with his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodriguez, the Chinese foreign minister noted that their countries are socialist, have a friendship based on political foundations and ties that have passed the tests posed by global vicissitudes.

China will continue to support with determination Cuba’s socialist cause and cooperation in different sectors.

He favored strengthening communication, strategic collaboration and coordination in the international arena, as well as safeguarding the legitimate interests and contributing to promoting peace and progress in light of the complex challenges in today’s world.

Wang added that the talks in Beijing between Presidents Miguel Diaz-Canel and Xi Jinping in November 2019 were fruitful and further boosted the development of ties.

The diplomat pointed out that China is ready to implement the agreement reached by the two leaders, increase exchanges at all levels and benefit from the Belt and Road initiative to deepen cooperation in such sectors as trade, clean energies, agriculture, tourism, the biopharmaceutical industry and telecommunications.
