They ratified complaint of corruption against Temer.

BRAZILIA, Brazil.- The Brazilian Prosecutor’s Office ratified a complaint filed two years ago a case of passive corruption against former Brazilian president Michel Temer, that could now bring him back to prison.

The Federal Public Ministry of the District reported in a statement that it confirmed the accusation against Temer in the case of the suitcase transferred by federal Deputy Rodrigo Rocha Loures, which contained an amount of 500 thousand reais.

The General Prosecutor of the Republic presented the imputation in 2017, when the leader of the Democratic Movement of Brazil still remained in power and was able to stop the investigation, thanks to the support of the Chamber of Deputies.

When Temer handed over to right-wing politician Jair Bolsonaro last January 1st, the process again opened in ordinary justice and the Prosecution insisted on its request.
