caravan of Central American migrants.

CHIAPAS, Mexico. – The caravan of Central American migrants arrived on Sunday in the city of Tapachula, in the Mexican state of Chiapas, from where it will resume tomorrow its long pilgrimage in the attempt to reach the American border.

It is not clear if those who walk include the more than 600 applicants for refuge in Mexico, nor the thousand people who entered irregularly from Guatemala, crossing the Suchiate River.

The elected President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, reiterated this Sunday in a massive event in Chiapas, his support to those who called Central American migrant brothers, because the one who leaves his house does not do it for pleasure, but by necessity.

More than 7 200 men, women and children left last October 13 from San Pedro Sula in Honduras, only with a backpack and some blankets.
