HAVANA, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said Cuba and Venezuela will reach new victories against the United States, while reiterating the island’s support for the sovereignty of that South American nation.
Through his Twitter account, the President responded the message of congratulation sent by his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolas Maduro, on the 58th anniversary of the victory of Playa Giron.
Hands off Venezuela, the Cuban head of State demanded in a context in which Washington escalates its threats against Caracas, with the aim of imposing a regime change.
Maduro celebrated the date and noted that less than 72 hours sufficed to show the world what a free people in defense of their sovereignty is capable of doing. His statements happen days after Donald Trump announced new measures to heighten the blockade
