Activities at UNESCO headquarters precede its 40th General Conference.

PARIS, France.- Cuba is meeting this month a comprehensive program within UNESCO’S Executive Board, which focuses its work on monitoring the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This forum examined reports on the implementation of UNESCO’s normative instruments, related to its competence, the preservation of documentary heritage, the protection and promotion of museums and their collections.

The Cuban participation was led by Oscar Leon, representative before this body and president of the National Commission of UNESCO, accompanied by the permanent delegate of the island, Dulce Maria Buergo and other officials.

It is held also a meeting of the Special Committee and the Non-Governmental Organizations, subsidiary bodies of the Executive Council convened to discuss governance.
