SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- With a military ceremony and the placement of floral offerings National Cuban Hero Jose Marti will be honored this Tuesday in Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, on the 125th anniversary of his fall in combat.

Members of the FAR Ceremony Unit of the necropolis of Santiago de Cuba will be in charge this May 19th of the placement of flowers to the Apostle of the Cuban independence, in the Mausoleum where his  remains rest.

Members of the Defense Council of the province will attend the tribute on behalf of the Cuban people, who fulfill with discipline and rigor the health tasks in the face of the pandemic caused by the new coronavirus.

Jose Marti was mortally wounded in Dos Rios, fulfilling what he expressed weeks earlier to the Tampa tobacco workers when he said, how beautiful it will be to die on horseback, fighting for the freedom of Cuba, next to a palm tree.
