Havana, Cuba.-Under the motto ”Engineering and Architecture for a Sustainable Future”, the capital”s Conventions Palace will host from today until next Friday the 18th Scientific Convention on Engineering and Architecture (CCIA 18).

The event is organized by the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría (Cujae), Cuba’s main university in the field of technical sciences and architecture.

The CCIA 18 proposes to maintain a space where the scientific, academic and professional community exchanges experiences and ideas related to the sustainable development of the current society, based on the results that the researches offer in prioritized lines within the framework of technological, pedagogical and Management in the areas of engineering and architecture.

According to the organizers, it will also be the framework for establishing professional and academic contacts, as well as forms of international cooperation among institutions, entities, organizations and universities, which will allow the qualitative raising of the level of higher education and the link between both the academic and business sectors thus making them take a broader view of commitments to society.

In the framework of the Congresses, Symposiums and Workshops that will be developed in parallel, prestigious experts will give keynote speeches. In addition, panel discussions, oral presentations and the launching of posters and videos will be developed.
