Havana, Cuba.-The fourth Rumanian Cultural Day will take this week the historical center of this capital, stated in a bulletin the Romanian Ambassador to Havana, Dumitru Preda.
This July 5 at 11 a.m., the Palace of Lombillo in the Square of the Havana Cathedral will host the photographic exhibition with its opening “Romania: Nations and Places”.

A selection made by the association Photoromania, in charge of visual artists Sorin Onisor, Bogdan Comanescu and Gina Buliga, will present the culture and the Rumanian tradition to the Cuban public.

The cultural institution organizes annually the Photo Romance Festival in May, that, founded in 2010, receives more than 70 exhibitions of foreign and local artists, and an international meeting of managers of European festivals.

On the other hand, on Wednesday, July 6th at 6:30 p.m. (local time), the Church of San Francisco de Paula will receive 22 year-old soprano Mariana Preda, resident in Amsterdam, in the only concert.

The performer, actress and audio-visual director, beyond her artistic versatility, reached the stardom thanks to her participation in the short film called “Doina” directed by Nikolas Grasso.

Awards to the Best Feminine Performance in the International Movie Festival of Monaco in 2010 and one year later in the Film Festival of Paris count in her curricular synthesis.

In last December, the Departments of Culture of Cuba and Romania signed a just cooperation agreement on having celebrated 55 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations.

Between the priorities, they share the agreement including the delegates’ participation of both countries in festivals of music, art and movies, and other such events as exhibitions and book fairs.

The exchange between two national libraries, the organization of exhibitions of visual arts and architecture, as well as exchanges of groups and ballet companies, were also signed.
