Dr. Eusebio Leal, Historian of the city of Havana, received this Wednesday the special condition of Social Educator, due to his outstanding humanist conviction in the formation of the new generations, and the rescue of the patrimony and identity of the Cuban nation.

Enrique Jose Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences granted the award as a recognition to perseverance, the committed and humble sacrifice with his homeland, essential characteristics for the professionals of teaching, as Jose Marti described in his time.

Deisy Fraga, rector of the University of Pedagogical Sciences, gave Dr. Leal the certificate accrediting him as a social educator, in a ceremony in the Aula Magna of San Geronimo College of Havana.

Dr. Leal thanked the honor conferred to him and referred to Enrique Jose Varona´s work.
