MATANZAS, Cuba.- As part of the activities of the Scientific Methodological Conference held by the University of Matanzas, they created a chair on Fidel Castro´s thought, to promote the ideas of the Commander-in-Chief and his work as a fundamental pillar to understand the current Cuban society.

The constitution of the project, developed by the Department of Marxism, was presided by Leida Finale, rector of the University

Finale said that the last order left by Fidel was about not using his name, so he left a warning about humility, and that must be respected; the study of his work is a way to interpret the problems of today.

It is about doing, examining the philosophical dimension and worldview Fidel had, said Liset Mendoza, one of the participant in the Scientific Methodological Conference in the University of Matanzas.
