Havana, Cuba.-Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister, Bruno Rodríguez, received today the formel president and Paraguayan senator Fernando Lugo, who visits Cuba as part of a Paraguayan parliamentary delegation.

The website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported that Rodríguez and Lugo talked about topics of the international agenda and on the current challenges faced by Latin America and the Caribbean.

Both emphasized the need to strengthen the unity inside the Community of the Latin-American and Caribbean States (CELAC) as a mechanism of political agreement to defend the common interests and the peace.

According to the report, Paraguayan senators Víctor Bogado and Ramón Gómez also participated in the conversations, as well as other officials of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
