Cuba will be a better country with the new Constitution.

HAVANA, Cuba.-The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, said this Monday that with the new Constitution of the Republic, the island will be a better country and more in tune with the present.

In his Twitter account, the President emphasized that in a few days, Cuba will approve the Magna Carta that we all did for the good of all.

Diaz-Canel has insisted on his call to the Cubans to ratify in the polls the law of laws that will replace the one in force since 1976, when it’s only less than two weeks to go for the referendum of February 24, to which more than eight million Cubans are summoned.

The new Constitution was approved by the National Assembly of People´s Power last December 22, when the ratification referendum was convened. In addition the text reiterates the socialist character of Cuba and the guiding role of the Communist Party in its society.
