Humberto de la Calle warned about the danger of a war in Colombia.

BOGOTA, Colombia. – Humberto de la Calle, presidential candidate of the Liberal Party in Colombia, warned on Sunday that if this country does not rectify, it will go to the abyss of war with its eyes closed.

“Let’s open our eyes, the concern is huge and the peace agreement can burst if we continue on that path,” the chief negotiator of the Colombian government in Havana said at a press conference in Bogota.

De la Calle criticized the position of the institutionalism as regards what was agreed in the Cuban capital with the disappeared Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People’s Army.

The Colombian presidential candidate also said the Constitutional Court opened the door to Congress to betray and hinder the agreement, and it also contested the attack against the peace agreement by the Democratic Center Party, led by former President Alvaro Uribe that constructs fallacies and hatreds that have led to feel a longing for war.
