Caracas, Venezuela.- The Government of Venezuela pushed back the economic, commercial and financial blockade that supports today the United States against Cuba, in spite of the reestablishment of the diplomatic relations between both nations in July, 2015.

By means of a bulletin, published this Sunday in the website of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the governmental direction of the South American country qualified the blockade of criminal, unilateral, extraterritorial, obsolete and anachronistic measurement, ‘ that expresses the most alive expression of the imperial vocation of domination ‘.

‘We demand EE.UU that to respect the demands of the International Community, expressed in more than 20 resolutions of the General Assembly of the Organization of United Nations (UNO) against the blockade, which in 2015 obtained an almost unanimous support,’ adds the text.

‘Also, he exhorts to the North American administration to attend to the condemnation of the Community of Latin-American and Caribbean States, expressed unanimously during the Summit of Costa Rica in January, 2015, and the reiterated expressions of contesting shown in the bosom of the Movement of Not aligned Countries.

‘On the other hand, in addition to ratifying the solidarity with the people and government of the Caribbean island, the document announces that the diplomatic delegation of Venezuela will support the resolution of Cuba against the blockade, foreseen to present itself next October 26 in the UNO.

In December, 2014 the presidents of Cuba, Raúl Castro, and of the USA, Barack Obama, they announced to the unison the beginning of a dialogue to restore the diplomatic bilateral relations interrupted in 1961, and on July 20, 2015 they achieved this intention tacit in the reopenings of embassies in Havana and Washington.

However, the blockade imposed in 1962 by US president John Kennedy back then and supported by all his successors up to date, is still causing deep affecations to the Cuban economy and development, said recently the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.
