The United States and Central American countries execute actions against Mara Salvatrucha.
PHILADELPHIA, USA – The U.S. Secretary of Justice, Jeff Sessions, assured this Monday that the authorities of his country will use any law to dismantle Salvadoran gang Mara Salvatrucha.
Mara Salvatrucha is a priority for the work of special groups composed of several federal entities, the Attorney General commented at a meeting of the International Association of Police Chiefs, held in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Over the past six months, authorities of US, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras filed charges against almost four thousand gang members, Sessions said.
The American Secretary of Justice also pointed out that Mara Salvatrucha constitutes one of the most violent and ruthless gangs in the United States, and endangers communities in more than forty States of the Union.
