Trump worried about drug use in America.

WASHINGTON, USA – U.S. President Donald Trump said this Thursday he plans to declare the country’s existing opioid crisis as a national emergency, which would allow states and federal agencies to have more resources to deal with it.

Last week, the Presidential Commission to fight drugs and Opioid Crisis created by Trump warned that 142 Americans die due to overdose every day.

In a report sent to the White House, the group headed by the Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, indicated that its first and most urgent recommendation was to declare a national emergency on the subject.

Such a step would allow Trump’s cabinet to take bold measures and force Congress to focus even more on the financing and empowerment of the executive to cope with that loss of lives.
