Havana, Cuba.-Presidents and personalities from the five continents arrived here on Tuesday to participate in the posthumous tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

At the José Martí International Airport, South African President Jacob Zuma assured that Fidel’s death caused sadness and consternation in his country.

Namibian President Hage Geingob, speaking on behalf of his country and the South West African People’s Organization (SWAPO), acknowledged the commotion caused by Fidel´s death, which occurred last Friday at the age of 90.

Indian Interior Minister Rajnath Singh also traveled to Cuba to pay tribute to whom he considers to be the most iconic personality of the 20th Century.

Meanwhile, the Governor General of Canada, David Lloyd Johnston, stated he came to Cuba to strengthen the solidarity of both peoples over the death of Fidel, whom he considers a great leader.

For his part, the president of the senate of Chile, Ricardo Lagos Weber, said that his delegation arrived in Havana to give the statesman the last farewell.

The South American official expressed confidence that this will be a touching goodbye to a personality that marked the second half of the 20th Century.

Prime Ministers of Saint Lucia and Jamaica, Allen Chastanet and Andrew Holness, respectively, also came to Havana to honor the memory of the Cuban leader.

In the last hours also Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani of Qatar also arrived in Havana to pay tribute to the Cuban leader.

Since yesterday, the presidents of several countries and important personalities of the world have arrived in the Cuban capital to pay posthumous tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
