The President of Namibia, Hage Geingob.

Geingob called to follow Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara´s legacy.

WINDHOEK, Namibia.- The President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, remarked this Monday that the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, is a symbol of true friendship and selflessness, because of his solidarity with Latin America, Asia and Africa.

During the fifth African Continental Conference of Solidarity with Cuba, Geingob said Fidel Castro offered solidarity support to help them survive and that the African continent must now expand its cooperation with the island.

The Namibian President stressed the suitability of intensifying solidarity and continuing with Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara´s legacy, leaders who possessed the revolutionary principles the world is currently calling for.

Geingob pointed out that Africa and Cuba should increase their trade ties and proposed to create a joint commission to expand economic, scientific-technical, sports, education and health cooperation.
