MOSCOW, Russia.- Russia announced this Friday the blockade of the US embassy’s use of property in that country, beginning August 1, and the demand to reduce the staff of that mission by September the first.
A communiqué from the Chancellery points out that from next Tuesday, the American Embassy will lose the right to use facilities for warehouses at Dorozhnoi Street and the complex of rest houses in the Serebreni Bor area.
In addition, the United States shall ensure, before September 1, a reduction of staff, so that its number is in correspondence with the total of diplomats and personnel of the Russian Embassy in Washington.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry warns that it reserves the right to apply other countermeasures, after the Obama Administration blocked the houses of rest of the Russian Embassy in several places of New York last December.
