Migrant caravans continue entering Mexico.

MEXICO XITY. Mexico.- Reports from the National Institute of Migration of Mexico pointed out that at least 20 migrant caravans have entered that territory until this week.

Immigration authorities from that country reported to the media that around 6000 people have traveled through the state of Baja California, distributed between the cities of Tijuana and Mexicali, mainly.

The National Institute of Migration of Mexico carried out a census of migrants in shelters, and one of its objectives is to offer them work without affecting their interest in requesting political asylum in the United States.

However, a survey conducted by Spanish press agency EFE found that many people in the caravan considered the option to stay on Mexican soil and not continue to the United States, given the hostile position of the Trump Administration.
