Havana, Cuba.-A Training Squadron of the Japanese Self-defense Navy is to arrive today in Havana on an official visit, informed daily Granma.
During their stay in the Cuban capital, Japanese sailors will carry out a program of activities including visits of courtesy to the head of the Revolutionary Navy, to the president of the National People’s Power Assembly (parliament) and a tour to places of historic and cultural interest.
The entrance of the ships to the port of Havana is announced for 07:45, moment when they will shoot a 21-gun salute from one of the visiting ships to the Caribbean nation, action that will be reciprocated by a battery of artillery of the Revolutionary Armed Forces from the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña.
The squadron will remain docked in the Refrigerated Terminal of Havana, located in the Habana Vieja municipality and the population will bwe able to visit the ships on Saturday. July 8, from 09:00 to 11:00 and from 14:00 to 16:00 hours.
