Havana, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel met with Keiji Furuya, Chairman of the Japan-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship League, Radio Rebelde station reported on Tuesday.

The leader of the Japanese organization held a meeting on Monday with Council of Ministers vice president Ricardo Cabrisas.

This meeting is part of the program of bilateral activities that takes place in the framework of the celebration in Havana of the 3rd Cuba-Japan Joint Public-Private Committee meeting, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted.

During the meeting, the leaders acknowledged the progress made in recent years and exchanged about the excellent state of the bilateral economic and financial relations between the two countries, in which the Parliamentary League participated since its founding.
