Flags of Cuba and Iran.

TEHRAN, Iran. – The official Cuban delegation led by Vice-President Ulises Rosales del Toro, concluded this Monday a visit to Iran, where they participated in the inauguration of President Hassan Rohani.

The delegation participated in the ceremony during which Rohani swore the post for a second consecutive turn, after winning the re-election in the elections held last May.

The Iranian head of State received in audience to Rosales del Toro, who expressed President Raul Castro’s congratulations and pointed out that Iran will always be able to count on the solidarity of the Government and the people of Cuba.

During the meeting Rohani recalled his visit to Havana in September 2016, and said that the presence of the Cuban Vice-President in Tehran was an expression of the political will of the island to develop ties with Iran.
