BEIJING, China.- Cuba and China strengthened their economic linkages with the signing of memoranda of understanding this Thursday. Among them there is one related to expanding cooperation in the context of the One Belt One Road Initiative.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping signed agreements to increase productive capacity in prioritized collaborative projects, and the granting of a Chinese credit to would support the acquisition of construction equipment for the sectors of renewable energies and tourism.

Another document refers to the supply of machinery to increase the production of various crops in Guantanamo province, and the last one is related to projects of canning factories of fruits and vegetables.

The Director General of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zhao Bentang, said these pacts will boost the development of links.
