MOSCOW, Russia. – Xi Jinping, President of China, arrived this Monday arrived in the Russian capital to meet his counterpart Vladimir Putin, who described the meeting as one of great great importance in bilateral relations.

During the Chinese leader´s stay on July 3 and 4 July, Russia and China will sign several agreements worth about $10 billion, as well as more than a dozen cooperation agreements.

Shortly before his visit, Xi Jinping criticized in an interview the deployment of the American Thaad anti-aircraft defense system in South Korea, because it disrupts the strategic balance in the area.

According to Andrei Denisov, Russian ambassador in China, Moscow and Beijing are determined to align to face international problems; this close relationship allows both countries to follow similar policies in international organizations.
