Liberation theologian Frei Betto said this Friday Cuba deserves the most unrestricted solidarity because it consolidated a revolution and a socialist project characterized by their supportive action.

In a message to the twenty third Brazilian Solidarity Convention with Cuba, held in Brazil, the outstanding writer stood out the aid provided by the island to more than one hundred countries, mostly the most underdeveloped.

While imperialist nations send missiles and bombs to sacrifice innocent lives, Cuba saves lives and enriches the culture of these peoples, the Dominican friar remarked.

Frei Betto deplored also the insistence of the world capital to change solidarity into competitiveness, social justice into inequality, human rights into market interests, and God into money, and he highlighted that Cuba trusts human being.
