BUENOS AIRES, Argentina. – Argentine Milagro Sala´s lawyer, Elizabeth Gomez Alcorta, described as shameful the resolution giving a house order to the social leader in a property absolutely destroyed.

However, Gomez noted it is preferable that Sala, in prison for more than five hundred days, be confined to a destroyed house and not in jail, where her life is in danger.

The eve it was announced Judge Gaston Mercau´s decision of granting home prison to the leader of the Tupac Amaru neighborhood organization, after the precautionary measure of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

The lawyer reiterated that the Commission issued a precaution last July 27 ratifying compliance with the resolution of the United Nations Arbitrary Detention Working Group to release Sala immediately.
