havmun 2Havana, Cuba.-The second day of the Havana Model United Nations (Havmun) will include today keynote speeches from many UN agencies and debates of the commissions on international issues.

The program includes working sessions of the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, as well as a paper by representatives of the Pan-American Health Organization.

The working commissions will negotiate on issues such as disarmament and international security, economy, finance and social issues.

The 22nd Havmun began yesterday at the Main Lecture hall of the Havana University and is dedicated to the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, the 70th anniversary of the Cuban United Nations Association and the 25th anniversary of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, held in Rio de Janeiro in 2012.

The academic event is held since 1996 at the University of Havana and stands out for the academic prestige achieved by its scientific quality.
