HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban Chancellor, Bruno Rodriguez, received this Monday the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Jose Graziano da Silva, who pays a visit to Cuba.

At the meeting, Rodriguez and Da Silva confirmed the good state of the historic cooperative relations between that organization and Cuba, as the Chancellor reported on his Twitter account.

Likewise, the Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister expressed the common interest of both sides, while Da Silva attended the closing of the Seventh Continental Congress of the Latin American Coordinator of Rural Organizations, at Artemisa province.

The Director-General of FAO completes his tenure next July 31 and recently recognized that Cuba is one of the countries that have already reached the goal of halving the number of hungry people.
