BAYAMO, Cuba. – The city of Bayamo welcomes today the provincial commemoration of Granma for the Day of National Rebellion, as it was one of the venues of July 26 exploit.

The ceremony will be held in the former Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks, now Nico Lopez Park Museum, which celebrates its four decades and has been prepared so that the people pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs of July 26.

The old building of the tyranny was attacked by 21 young people of the Centennial Generation, among them Antonio Nico Lopez, Mario Martinez Arara, Enrique Camara, Calixto Garcia, as well as Andres Garcia, Pedro Veliz, Hugo Camejo, Ramiro Sanchez, and Agustin Diaz Cartaya.

In the provincial act on July 26, the people of Granma will express their support for the draft Constitution, which has just passed the Cuban Parliament and will be consulted with the people.
