Bolivia’s President recalled Commander Camilo Cienfuegos.

LA PAZ, Bolivia.- Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, wrote on his official Twitter page that we remember Camilo Cienfuegos, on the date of his departure, who was, with Fidel and Ernesto Che Guevara, one of the main Commanders of the Cuban Revolution.

Camilo was a cheerful, jovial man, a real patriot, hence his willingness to join the Granma Yacht expedition in 1956.

During the fight in the Sierra Maestra, Camilo excelled as one of the Rebel Army’s most important soldiers, obtained the ranks of Commander, led an invading column, and led important revolutionary actions.

Camilo Cienfuegos lost his life on October 28, 1959, when the plane he was traveling in fell, but his remains were never found, hence the Cuban people’s tradition of bringing flowers to the sea, rivers or lagoons.
