Cuba and Laos strengthen parliamentary links.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The unwavering ties of solidarity between Cuba and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic were highlighted this Wednesday by Esteban Lazo, President of the National Assembly of People´s Power, when he received his counterpart from that country, Pany Yathotou, who pays an official visit to the island.

The head of the Cuban Parliament thanked for the support in the fight against blockade, referred to the process of constitutional reform, and the situation in Latin America by the resurgence of the Monroe doctrine. He also strongly ratified the rejection to the coup attempts in Venezuela.

The President of the Lao Parliament joined the solidarity with the homeland of Bolivar, Chavez and Maduro, and underlined that Laos has always admired the heroic people of Cuba for their resilience and bravery.

At the end of the meeting, Pany Yathotou gave a donation to those affected by the tornado in Havana, and both parliaments signed a memorandum of understanding.
