HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, arrived this Thursday to this city after fulfilling an intense international tour by countries of Europe and Asia, and was received by the First Secretary of the Communist Party, Raul Castro.

Diaz-Canel and the delegation that accompanied him arrived this Thursday dawn at Jose Marti International Airport, where he also was welcomed by the Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, and the First Vice-President, Salvador Valdes.

The President’s tour included Russia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), China, Vietnam and Lao, following a transit scale in France, a country in which he spoke with Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, and the Director General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay.
