WASHINGTON, the United States. – According to a survey by the Washington Post and the ABC television network, the actions of President Donald Trump and Congress are insufficient to prevent mass shootings in the United States.

The survey, carried out from February 15 to 18 among 808 adults, showed that 62 percent considered inadequate the measures taken by the President against this problem.

Seventy seven percent of respondents describe in a similar way the attitude of the legislature, whose two chambers have a Republican majority, the same Trump´s party.

On the other hand, most Americans refer to mental illnesses as the main driver of the aforementioned tragedies, which had their most recent episode less than a week ago.
