Moscow, Russia.- In order to promote bilateral economic cooperation, the 10th session of the Cuba-Russia Business Committee was held this Wednesday in the Russian capital.

Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas participated in the inauguration of the event, as well as businesspeople and officials from both nations.

The meeting serves to promote key projects in the areas of energy, transportation and industry, stated Rodrigo Malmierca, Cuban minister of Foreign Trade and Investment.

‘We see that relations between the two countries are in full development, both at the governmental and business level,’ Orlando Hernandez, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, told Sputnik news agency.

He stressed that in recent months the Eurasian nation has increased its presence in Cuba, in sectors such as transport and energy.

At the same time, the First National Exhibition of Cuba in Moscow, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba, opened its doors.

In an area of 600 square meters in the Expocentre, the largest fairground in the Russian capital, 50 Cuban entities will promote the export of their products and services, according to a statement.

Among the sectors the exhibition targets are agro-industry, food and beverages, science, technology and environment, medical services, products, services and technologies of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, culture, mining, energy, industry, tourism, construction and services.

The Cuban exhibition in Moscow is being held as part of the activities to mark the 60th anniversary of the re-establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, which will be commemorated in 2020.
