Cuba’s Ambassador to China, Carlos Miguel Pereira, reported this Wednesday that the U.S. economic, financial and commercial blockade prevents Alibaba Company from sending a donation to the island to combat Covid-19.
With a view to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Cuba, the President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel, in meeting with the representatives of all entities involved in the Epidemic Prevention and Control Plan, indicated an intensification of the planned measures.
Because of the contagion with the new coronavirus of several people in Camilo Cienfuegos community, at Consolacion del Sur municipality, the Defense Council and the Ministry of Public Health decreed the quarantine for the area.
