Plenary of the Central Committee .

HAVANA, Cuba.- After two days of intense work, this Tuesday concluded the seventh Plenary of the Central Committee of the Party, where its first Secretary, General of the Army Raul Castro Ruz, conducted a thorough analysis of the draft Constitution of the Republic.

Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, second Secretary of the Central Committee, highlighted that the meeting was also attended by the members of the Council of State and the Committee members commissioned by the National Assembly to prepare the proposal.

The text presented to the plenary contained important modifications of the articles composing the Constitution in force, in correspondence with socialist precepts.

The project the members will pass after its analysis at the National Assembly, fixed for next July 21, will be submitted to the people’s consultation and then to a referendum.
