SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- Floral offerings of Army General Raul Castro Ruz and President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez presided over the political act and military ceremony held in the Mausoleum of Marti, in occasion of the 166th anniversary of the Cuban Apostle´s birth.

Students from the Military School in Arroyo Arenas in Havana and cadets of the Jose Marti Military Technical Institute attended the ceremony, and they were in charge of the guard of honor before the tomb of the most universal of Cubans.

In the central words, Elena Castillo, secretary of the Federation of Cuban Women in Santiago de Cuba highlighted the revolutionary roots of the nation where Marti´s legacy is more alive than ever.
