Holguin, Cuba.- The northeastern Cuban territory, which includes the provinces of Holguin and Guantanamo, is preparing to host the XI International Nature Tourism Event (Turnat 2017) from September 26 to 30.

Maikel Robelt, commercial of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, today told the Cuban News Agency (ACN) that this region has all the infrastructure and logistics necessary to successfully develop the event that occurs every two years in a different pole of the island and attracts experts in nature trips, adventures and rural environment.

The tourist center of the province of Holguín is ready to receive the meeting, whose headquarters will share with the city of Baracoa, Guantánamo, according to the information disclosed.

Robelt reported that the pole has reactivated its different services, because after the passage of Hurricane Irma all those areas that suffered some impact were conditioned but in a general sense the hotel infrastructure was not significantly damaged.

He said that the launch of new routes and ecological trails that promote the most indigenous values ​​of Cuban culture will be one of the most significant moments of the program.

Organizers of the event recently reported that experts from eight nations (the United States, Germany, Mexico, China, France, Costa Rica, Belgium, and Spain, along with the hosts) are registered, and hopefully experts from Russia and the Netherlands are expected to join the event.
