HAVANA, Cuba. – To promote a greater presence of national industry in the domestic market, focused on increasing the substitution of imports effectively, constitutes an essential purpose of the fifth Business Fair, which will take place in Expocuba from May 7 to 23.

In a press conference, the first Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning, Rene Hernandez, said that the appointment, organized for all economic actors, will identify the potential of these to advance the process of reconciliation of the demands of goods and services, and the preparation of the Plan for next year.

He added they are also objectives of the event, to identify productive chains within the national economy, and to promote new products and services, including exportable headings.

Rene Hernandez said this edition of the Business Fair will reinforce the links with universities.

Boost to Economy

The fifth Business Fair in Expocuba from May 7 to 23, will promote new propositions to enhance the management of inventories based on the insurance and sources of the plan, Rene Hernandez, first Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning said.

Hernandez explained that the appointment, in line with the nation’s strategic projections up to 2030, coincides with the process of elaborating the Economy Plan for the next calendar, the first to include issues gathered in the fundamental lines of the country during the next twelve years.

Rene Hernandez insisted on the importance given today to the socialist State enterprise, and to identify its own capacities in terms of development and the growing domestic demand.

He added that the V Business Fair will also allow exchanges between experts from different economic disciplines.
