Eighth International Congress of Social WorkHAVANA, Cuba.- The eighth International Congress of Social Work, from June 5 to 10, will be dedicated to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

His concept of revolution is implicit in the work we do daily, Milagros de la Caridad Garcia, member of the organizing committee of the meeting.

The eighth International Congress of Social Work will also honor the figure of Celia Sanchez, a faithful example of that profession promoting social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversity.

Garcia added that the Cuban delegation will present the experiences of social work in the field with vulnerable groups as senior citizens, and foreign delegates will know details about the Cuban action in other nations.
