Diaz-Canel met with Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet

HAVANA, Cuba. –Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, talked on Tuesday with Spanish journalist and intellectual Ignacio Ramonet, who is visiting the island.

The President wrote on his Twitter account that the encounter with the author of One Hundred Hours with Fidel was interesting and affable and that they both talked about the international situation.

Ramonet appeared on Tuesday in the Round Table broadcasting  program, where he addressed details about his recent visit to former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in Curitiba prison, the siege to Venezuela, the challenges of Europe and other issues.

The Spanish journalist´s curriculum includes specializations in Geopolitics and International Strategy, and among his recognized works are Silent Propaganda, The Empire of Surveillance and The Tyranny of Communication.
