HAVANA, Cuba.- Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, remarked the need to promote and systematize the principles of the cultural policy of the Revolution.
The President attended the meeting after the 9th Congress of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, to follow up on the implementation of cultural policy in education, tourism and the media.
Diaz-Canel expressed that it is possible to move towards a greater impact on the cultural life of the nation, based on the political will, the commitment of the artistic avant-garde and the consolidation of the institutional system, in a coherent and inclusive exercise.
During the meeting the need for institutions to function as true representatives of creators and to participate in the decision-making and social projection of institutions were reaffirmed.
