Havana, Cuba.- Cuba”s President Miguel Diaz-Canel will shortly embark on a tour of Russia, China, North Korea, Vietnam, Laos and other countries starting early November, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez announced.

The FM added the Statesman will also visit Western European nations.

On Wednesday, the Russian Senate passed a resolution demanding the end of the US economic, financial and commercial blockade on Cuba. The vote was considered important ahead of President’s visit to Moscow scheduled for November 1.

That visit is Diaz-Canel’s first to Russia on its current post. He had previously made a visit as first vice president.

In Cuba, as part of his working agenda visiting provinces to meet with local authorities and people, Diaz-Canel was in Artemisa, west of Havana, on Wednesday where he toured a bus-making plant and a cement factory. He also paid tribute to revolutionary fallen heroes at the Mausoleum of Artemisa Martyrs.
